Kenzo has created a new Amour flanker for summer time, Amour EDT Florale. As enamored as I am with the Kenzo Amour scents and the Karim Rashid - created bottle shapes from the Amour series, this one in particular is a stunner starting right at the bottle design. Florale is colored with a beautiful gradiation of white frosted and sheer glass which really makes the beautiful shape of the bottle stand out even more.
As far as summer time scents go, this is a really pretty one, and a very nice addition to the Kenzo Amour line up (although a scent departure from all the rest). It's a fresh, light floral with a prominent Neroli note. It's very feminine, wearable, memorable and refreshing. On my skin the florals came up first with this perfume, with a bit of the grapefruit making it's way in as well. I really liked the floral green notes, like Gardenia, that were also in the mix.
But it's the luscious, sophisticated Neroli note that really makes this stand out. It came in during the middle of the scent for me and became more prominent with the dry down. So soft, comforting and yet still fresh for a hot summer day! It's also has incredible staying power, which is also unusual for a light, refreshing citrus floral scent. This is a beautifully done scent and perfect for those of you who love to collect Kenzo Amour perfumes :) - RLB
