I recently attended a NY Fashion Week beauty event sponsored by online sample sale mega site, Hautelook.com at the beautiful Bryant Park Hotel.
For those of you who may not be familiar with the line, LORAC (which is founder and Celebrity Makeup Artist Carol Shaw's first name spelled backwards) was born. The line launched with 10 shades of oil and fragrance-free foundations (which was totally revolutionary back in 1990).
LORAC Visual Effects Mascara Jet Black - The uniquely shaped brush grabbed on to my every lash and left me with super lush, defined lashes that didn't smudge, flake or run (and I was in a rain storm that day!).
LORAC Bronzer Bronzing Powder, Glow - This bronzer has beautiful tone and texture and it is perfect combination of brown/gold/orange shades.
LORAC Baked Matte Satin Blush , Hollywood - This pinky/brown blush was applied on the apples of my cheeks and gave me a really healthy, natural glow.
Oil-Free Wet/Dry Powder Makeup in #5 - Fantastic, buildable coverage and smooth and light on my skin. Great option to apply wet or dry too to create different looks.
LORAC Lip Pencil #14 & Couture Shine Liquid Lipstick in Sheer Luxe - These two products gave me a glossy plumy/wine colored lip. My lips felt moisturized, but has a satiny, light feel all day.
LORAC Take A Brow Dark Brown - Beautiful mix of browns for a very natural, sophistical brow effect.
Some other facts that I learned about the line that you may not know:
- The correct pronoucation of LORAC is LA•ROCK.
- LORAC is a line especially created for people with sensitve skin.
- LORAC's focus in on RED CARPET looks (rather than New York catwalks and haute couture fashion).
