Fragrance Find - Yves St. Laurent Parisienne Perfume, Inc. Yves Saint Laurent Parisienne Eau de Parfum was created by two women, Sophia Grojsman and Sophie Labbé. I think the fragrance they created speaks to the type of modern woman that they relate to and to whom this scent will attract.

The best way to describe this scent is: A new twist on rose, with a little berry and little violet.

Overall, I found the opening of the scent clear and fresh. The cranberry/blackberry notes were strongest on me in the beginning. The rose notes, which opened up more as the day went on, gave it a very nice chic edge that made it perfect for day or night, the office or kicking around on the weekends.

It's pretty and modern and one of the strongest associations I had with this scent, especially in the beginning, was European Violet Pastille candies which I love to pick up when I'm there...

I was surprised at the great lasting power of the scent, since it gives off the impression in the beginning that it's a light, transparent fragrance, but, sure enough, by evening the scent had developed even more on me. The roses really were prominent and the cranberry notes actually come back in. I really liked this. The final dry down gave me slight powdery violet notes and the musk, but the berry kept it nice and tart and not heavy.

I also love the bottle - it's a really beautiful flacon with intricate carvings and the heavy gold cap which make it appear jewel-like. The pink shade of the perfume is soft and references back to the rose theme that is also seen in the ad campaigns with Kate Moss.

The is the perfect treat for yourself and for the fragrance/rose scent lover in your life. - RLB
