For the first time ever, Estee Lauder has sponsored the makeup for a New York Fashion Week show!
They recently worked with Derek Lam for his F/W 2010 runway show, and the results could not have been more stunning!
Estée Lauder Creative Makeup Director Tom Pecheux created a look I really loved - with bold blue eyes, copper lips, matte skin, bare cheeks and neutral nails.
And speaking of nails, one of my favorite manicurist's, Jin Soon Choi and her team polished their nails with a NEW color that was tested backstage! (More on that soon...)
Tom's inspiration for the look came from looking at the fabrics which inspired Derek's 2010 collection – bold and muted tones mixed with earthy pigments including terracotta, greens and browns.
Tom wanted the makeup shades to be complimentary, so together, Tom and Derek chose a blend of bold blue shadows on the eyes, shimmering copper lips and flawless, matte skin created with a light foundation.
This is a look that can easily be worn from day to night for those of you looking to shake up your look a bit, and will compliment many skin tones, with some small adjustments on the shade of blue and the lip tone. - RLB
