If there's one thing that really excites me these days, it's discovering not only great new beauty products, but products in completely new beauty categories!
Case in point: Brow master Elke Von Freudenberg's newest creation for brow grooming, Elke Brow Scrub.
This is a first of it's kind product, which aids brow growth without the use of chemicals and unnatural ingredients - how great is that?
It was during a brow shaping session with Elke that she remarked on how one of the ends, of one of my brows, had a tiny little "bald spot". I told her for some reason the hairs just would not grow in this area. That's when she presented me with the brow scrub, with instructions to use in in the evenings, on the target area, for at least 2-3 weeks - and she told that I would see an improvement.
The theory behind her revolutionary product idea is that a scrub would encourage brow growth by removing dead skin underneath brows, stimulating circulation and growth at the root of the brow hair, similar to brushing hair.
I used the scrub on slightly damp skin and found the grains to be small but significant enough to really feel them (it's very concentrated as well, which means only a small amount is needed). I moved the scrub in a circular motion for about a minute. The scrub rinsed clean easily and didn't leave my skin dry or irritated. It didn't sting or burn, but the scrubbing action did leave a slightly red area that faded soon after (that's why she recommends using it at night). The scrub also smells divine as well thanks to the sugar, coconut oil and rosemary extract.
After using it for 3 weeks, I did see an improvement - and a very nice one indeed. One morning when brushing my brows I noticed almost the entire small area had sprouted hairs almost as long as the rest of my brows! I will continue to use several times a week to keep up the results, but as far as I'm concerned, this is a new little miracle product I won't be without! - RLB
