Impulse Buy of the Week - Marc Jacobs Splash Collection Summer 2010, Biscotti, inc. If you think of Biscotti, you might imagine the sweetness of this toasty treat made for dunking into lovely coffee - or more of a dry, nutty, crispiness might come to mind.

What is so lovely about Marc Jacob's latest Splash fragrance Marc Jacobs Splash - Biscotti Eau de Toilette Spray is that it manages to bring both of these elements to the scent - in a really lovely way.

For those of you who love gourmand fragrances, you will not be dissapointed. The opening notes are softly cake-like, with creamy touches of vanilla and almond, and on my skin, quite a bit of the orange notes. It had a "warm" feel, yet still light, due to it's overall dry nature.

Later, when the fragrance fully developed, the white flowers came into play in a nice way and stayed throughout into the dry down, which brought back the orange blossom notes and a touch of musk. The staying power was remarkably long lasting for a splash cologne concentration, which I loved as well!

For those of you who really love applying fragrance - or having a signature fragrance to wear everyday, these Marc Jacobs Splash bottles are huge, so you are really getting a lot for your money.

This is a beautifully done splash, and now one of my favorites in Marc's series. It's a grown up, sophisticated sweet scent that's perfect for spring/summer, can be worn day or night, and delightful from first spritz to the last sniff in the evening. -RLB
