By now, many of you know that I'm completely in love with the Hourglass Cosmetic line, which I was introduced to by Madonna's makeup artist, Gina Brooke several months ago.
Here's a sneak peak at their latest creation, the
Hourglass Illume Creme To Powder Bronzer Duo. This is the perfect set of colors to create a glowy, bronzy look, that can be tailored to your preferences.
Both products are silky, airy and light and creamy to the touch on both the fingers and the skin. I successfully used a variety of tools - from fingers, to their makeup brush to a cosmetic sponge to apply.
The beauty of this formula is that the cream seemed to just melt into my skin and provide color, but also with a beautiful finish that was a combination of dewy and luminous. The bronzer is a light brown with a touch of copper, that can also serve as a highlighter for darker skin. The companion shade is a very nice dusty rose with a golden undertones, which appears fairly light in the compact, but once I blended on my skin, gave me a nice, flattering rosy shade. The cream quickly turned into power and blended easily before setting beautifully on my skin. Throughout the day neither products moved - the color and finish lasted all day, and I loved how healthy and vibrant I looked with them.
The creams are also moisturizing, so if you have drier skin, this will work on you like a dream and not disappear, flake or further dry your skin out.
As always, the packaging is phenomenal, complete with their swiveling top/mirror and two large compartments for the bronzer and blush. - RLB
