Sun Care Find - Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid

drugstore.com Summertime sunscreen protection can be a tricky proposition for the face. It's often a balancing act between finding a product with high SPF that's lightweight and works with makeup, and also withstands sun, heat and humidity - all while avoiding the dreaded white or gray color.

I've been using
La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid Extreme, SPF 60 for several weeks now and I'm very impressed with it because it manages to combine all the neccesary features for a great sun screen.

For those of you who have never used a European sunscreen, the consistency can be very thin and milk-like, as is this one. It had almost a "slick" feeling on my fingers, but as soon as I applied it to my skin, it dried immediately, absobred and created a matte look. Note: You need shake the bottle very well before applying it. It provided light hydration (this is best for oily/combination skin, or when it's extremely humid), while managing to keep my t zone oil free.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Fluid Extreme, SPF 60 is fragrance free, which is perfect for summer when you might be wearing a few scented products and don't want to competing smells.

The best part about this sunscreen is how budgeproof it was - it worked very well as a makeup primer and then stayed in place all day - no matter what the weather conditions. And, as I mentioned earlier, I never experienced the dreaded "white or gray cast" that can appear with some sun screens. I had no skin irritation or clogged pores while using it.

As for the packaging, I love the unquely shaped bottle and it's the perfect size to put in any bag.

There are certainly many sun screen choices on the market now, but for the price and performance I think this is once of the top options for your face. - RLB
