S/S 2011 MFW Beauty - Pat McGrath for Dolce and Gabbana

Beauty.com For Dolce and Gabbana's Spring/Summer 2011 Milan Fashion week show, makeup artist extrodinaire, Pat McGrath decided that for this collection the mouth should be the main attraction.
Says McGrath, "The mouth is such a focal point; Stefano, Domenico and I have always believed that drop dead glamour and innermost sensuality comes from an emphasis on the lips".

For the new the lip jewels Classic Cream Lipstick Quartet McGrath worked hard with Stefano and Domenico to come up with shades that were not just their favorites but every woman’s favorites.

The three reds they chose are very luscious, shades McGrath has worked with time and again on the runway. "I’ve played with them a lot-I’ve mixed them together, used them solo-and have come up with very rich passionate looks. And Nude is so perfect for contrast or a really simple natural look… they’re all just gorgeous… overall stunning, says McGrath.

For the relaxed elegance of Sicilian sensuality,
the collection’s easy glamour was evident in the palette used on models’ eyes and lips, each taken from Dolce&Gabbana The Make Up.

To create the looks, McGrath used the blusher in Caramel for the face.
For the eyes she used the eyeshadow quad in Nude the eyeliner in Nude and the mascara in Black.

McGrath used the new the lip jewels, shown below, (Classic Cream Lipstick quartet in Dahlia, Devil, Ultra and Nude) to create the beautiful lips for the runway. The palette case is absolutely stunning - don't you think?

Nails were kept subtle by using the nail lacquer in Nude. -RLB
