When it comes to eyeliner, I like the idea of going bold with bright colors, but I rarely actually stray from basic black. I feel like I'd just miss the unbeatable definition and contrast that I get from black liner, even if at times it is a bit too harsh for the occasion. On the flip side though, richly pigmented bright liners can still provide solid definition, and make eyes stand out in a different (and sometimes even stronger) way than your average run-of-the-mill colors like black, brown, and plum. For example, a bright violet liner like Tarina Tarantino Eye Dream Hyperliner in Amethyst Android makes blue or green eyes totally pop. If you have brown or hazel peepers, opt for a greenish color like Tokidoki Brillante Glitter Liner in SANDy or a deep teal like L'Oreal HiP cream liner in Teal. If you're a bit color-shy, choose a bright color that pops without looking too garish, like a royal blue like Urban Decay 24/7 Liner in Deviant. Just make sure to balance the bright look by keeping lips soft and neutral!
