Very often, classic beauty brands that have been around for many years embark on creating a new "modern" image to attract, in most cases, a younger audience.
More often that not, it fails miserably, because there's a disconnect between what the company thinks the new audience wants and what they are creating.
However, in the case of Crabtree & Evelyn, they've found the magical formula for creating new, exciting products which actually will appeal to younger customers - all while still remaining true to their core audience and their heritage. I absolutely love what they've done with their updated and expanded Floral Collection of scents.
I was recently introduced to the entire line (at an event with the glamorous, frequent product collaborator, design expert, India Hicks), and I must say I was very impressed. There are four new scents in the collection, Lily (my personal favorite), Iris, Rose and Lavender.
The new packaging, bottle design, formulas and textures of all the products in the line are beautifully done. These are all perfect for indulging oneself or gift giving. Each of the fragrances has wonderful top, middle and bottom notes which reflect their namesake flower. Lily is one of the new additions, and is such a beautiful, fresh, sparkly scent, I say it's a must have for spring.
The Lily scent immediately starts off with a burst (not overwhelming) of light green notes with a touch of citrus. Soon the middle notes appear, adding more depth to the green and floral notes. The dry down is very light still, but slightly warmer and powdery. This is perfect for daytime and weekend adventures, and perfectly appropriate for the office.
In addition to the Eau de Toilette, you can also treat yourself to their decadent: Dusting Powder, Triple Milled Soap, Shower Gel, Body Creme, Room Spray and Drawer Liners - RLB
Fragrance Notes: Lily of the Valley, Greens, Mosses, Hyacinthe, Ylang, Ylang
