Coming off their massive recent hit of a fashion collection for Target, Missoni is again on people's lips with raves about their recent Missoni Spring/Summer 2012 collection runway show.
For the first time the runway models for Missoni wore Minx on their nails. The results were beautiful and really accented the collection well.
Marian Newman, a veteran of runway shows, worked with Minx co-founder Janice Jordan to create “impressions” of the fabric Missoni would be using in the new collection.
The effect was never to "matchy matchy" because the designer Angela Missoni and the stylist Vanessa Reid made the final selections, choosing Minx coatings that did not replicate the swatches too closely, but instead accented the overall look of each ensemble.
This was quite a nice departure for Missoni, which normally uses natural-looking nails for the runway. I predict more designer collaborations like this with Minx for next season's shows! - RLB
