Beauty Find - Biologique Recherche P50V 1970

According to the founder of Philadelphia's top spa, Rescue Rittenhouse, Danuta Mieloch, Biologique Recherche Lotion P50 is a cult favorite.  It's "a magic potion that does it all. Exfoliates, Hydrates, and Balances the pH of the skin, it's a prep step before any skincare".

Well, when I hear "cult" + "favorite" about a beauty product, I am immediately interested.  I had to know more about this magical toner (with the slightly futuristic  robotic sounding) name.

It was recommended that I begin with the P50V, which is for those with slightly sensitive skin.  And, as I found out, just because the formula is more mild doesn't mean it's any less effective than the original P50!

After cleansing with my Clarisonic I applied the toner with a flat cotton pad. The first marked difference with this toner is the smell.  Since onion extract is part of the formula, upon application I noted a onion-y, almost mustard like, scent.

Now granted, this is not exactly the scent of your dreams for a skin care product, but 1) the smell does dissipate within a few minutes 2) after sweeping my skin with the toner I could not believe how smooth and toned my skin was. I felt just a bit of tingling (but not burning or irritation), and it instantly brought a beautiful glow to my skin. Note: This can also be used on the neck and decolletage.

P50V cleans pores and exfoliates so pores stay unclogged. I also found that this is a great treatment for small breakouts as it dramatically reduces pimples with its exfoliating and healing properties.  While it cleansed my pores and additional surface oils, it didn't over strip my skin, so it never felt tight or dry, even in my drier areas, like my cheeks.

This has a luxury price tag for a toner ($60), but just a few drops on the cotton pad will do the trick, so even used 2x day this should last over 6 months, making this a smart skin care investment.

I admit it, I'm addicted too! - RLB
