Budget Beauty Find - Hard Candy CC Correction Creme

So you may have tried BB (Beauty Balm) creams and but haven't been quite satisfied with the results you need.  Perhaps they were too sheer/not enough coverage  not enough skin care benefits, no sunscreen, didn't like the dewy finish, etc.

Well, the latest in "alphabet soup beauty" are CC (color correction) creams which offer to provide coverage, but also create a more even toned canvas by canceling out too red/blue shades, and help diffuse light hyper pigmentation.  CC creams are also very good if you need additional light moisture (but not for very dry skin).

The texture of Hard Candy CC Cream was closer to a medium weight foundation than a tinted moisturizer, and very creamy.  I used the Dark shade, and felt it provided me with a good color match.

The finish was semi-matte (so this is a good choice for more oily skin), and I found it provided great oil control in my T-zone throughout the day. It did also seem to brighten my skin tone after applying and blending in.  I also liked that with a light hand this could function more as a tinted moisturizer or it could also double as more of a foundation by using a foundation brush and using 2-3 layers.  It kept my skin smooth and soft and it had great wear during the day.

It's also great that it contains SPF 15 (although if you wanted more you could use a primer with SPF underneath it as I occasionally did).

As for the color correction, it did seem to blur slightly darker areas such as my under eye area area ), lower chin and made it look more even toned (with the use of very subtle light reflecting optical pearls.  For those of you who do need much more coverage + the color correction feature, I would recommend a light layer of this used as a primer underneath your favorite foundation.

The great price also doesn't hurt! - RLB
