Sarah McNamara's original Miracle Skin Transformer made a big splash among beauty lovers a few years ago with it's ability to hydrate, even out skin tone and provide a lightweight, natural finish to the skin.
For those of you also have an additional challenge of battling acne, the product now comes in an Acne Control version. I tried the Acne Control Tinted Skin Enhancer on several occasions when I had small breakouts and I was very pleased with the results. This product contains SMARTsal10, a advanced blemish fighting complex that combines salicylic acid with anti-microbial peptide-10 to promote a faster reduction in acne and blemishes now and in the future.
Not only did it give me an overall even complexion and a very nice "glow" without any shimmer or unnatural color, but it also calmed my skin down and reduced the size of my blemishes. I used the "Dark" shade (shown, above), which blended in nicely with my skin tone. It also comes in Translucent, if you don't want to have to work between shades, or have a mixture of undertones that make matching color products more difficult.
The texture of the transformer is very creamy, lightweight and blended into my skin just as easily with my fingers as with a brush or blending sponge. It's fairly pigmented, so about a dime's worth was enough for my entire face. During the day, it didn't cause any irritation or oily breakouts and, with a bit of translucent powder on top, I didn't need any additional coverage.
That being said, this is a light to medium coverage product, so you may need to add additional concealer to spot areas as well for a polished look if that's what you prefer.
It should also be noted that this product doesn't contain sunscreen, so if you have a lightweight primer or moisturizer for acne/oily skin, I recommend using that as a base before applying this product, especially during the summer months.
