Body Care Find - Malin + Goetz Rum Body Wash

One of the things I love so much about the Malin + Goetz line is that they create products which function very well, but that are combined with very unique (and great smelling!) scents.

Malin + Goetz Rum Body Wash is now one of my must have's from the line.  The fragrance is the matching scent to their Rum Tonic Eau de Toilette, Candle and Hand Wash.  It has notes of bergamot and plum, rum, leather, amber, patchouli and milk.  The body wash contains 12.0% of the Rum Eau de Toilette.

The scent is absolutely divine - fresh and summery.  It's definitely "rum like" and a bit sweet - but not overly orangey or fruity.  It's uplifting, clean and sensual at the same time.  As for the scent, yes, I got the feel of sipping on a tasty rum drink - particularly when I first applied the gel from the bottle.  But when combined with water and while lathering, the drier, spicier notes came out.  As far the actual cleansing of the body wash, it was quite pleasurable, because the texture was really a gel (as opposed to a cream or lotion texture) - and very smooth.   It also lathered nicely.

The body wash instantly moisturized my skin and while cleansing I could feel that it was not stripping my skin of moisture at all.  It's also quite concentrated, so no more than a quarter's worth is needed to lather the body each time.  This is also a perfect unisex scent that anyone will enjoy.

For those that worry about carrying the scent through the day on their skin, you needn't worry.  After rinsing, the scent is present, but very faint.  So this will not interfere with any additional fragrance you wish to apply during the day.  However, you can always use their Rum Tonic eau de toilette to layer the amazing scent all day! - RLB
