NYC New York Color Expert Last Lip Color come in a wide range of shades and has a modern and nicely color coded tube to match. I wanted to try an Spring '14 on-trend orange shade, which was their new Last Corlista (shown, above). Although it looks very bright in the tube, it's a much more soft orange/melon shade on the lips. With just a swipe it gives a coral tint to the lips and with a few more layers, you can achieve a brighter, coral lip.
I immediately loved how smooth and hydrating the lipstick was. It felt lightweight and had a very silky feel. The finish on Last Coralista is a satin with a slightly metallic effect, which made it a little different, and I liked it for a change of pace.
The lasting power was also impressive - even with drinking and eating during the day, I would say I only had to touch up a bit towards the end of the day. The lipstick left enough of a stain (which still didn't dry out my lips) that I had enough color for the majority of the day. The slightly vanilla scent was also quite pleasant.
Coming in at just $1.99, these are inexpensive enough to try out some brighter shades (Traffic Jam is a fun pink/cherry red shade) you might not otherwise, or pick up some everyday neutrals (Sugar Plum is a nice one) for any day time look you want to create! - RLB
