Beauty Find - Kiehl's Since 1851 Micro-Blur Skin Perfector

Blurring Creams are becoming the new "Alphabet" Creams. (e.g. BB Cream /CC Cream), etc.
But that doesn't mean they are a passing fad.  On the contrary, when I come across a great blurring cream like Kiehl's Since 1851 Micro-Blur Skin Perfector, it reminds me that
there's still a lot of innovative ways to create skincare that preps, protects and improves skin with real benefits.

The best way to use Kiehl's Since 1851 Micro-Blur Skin Perfector is as a primer.  It has a silky, lightweight texture and light diffusers that blur out large pores, uneven skin tone, minor blemishes and redness. I loved how soft and smooth it made my skin before adding my foundation or BB Cream.  It made all the difference in creating a perfect canvas for application, and then a seamless, flawless skin appearance after makeup was applied.

It's very concentrated so, while I though the tube was on the small side, I needed only about an M + M candy-sized amount for my entire face. I used a dabbing/patting action to apply it.  The Skin Perfector is slight peach/cream color out of the tube, but invisible when applied to the skin.  It dried completely clear and it didn't leave any trace of grey or white residue on my skin.  I don't have large pores on my nose, but I could see immediately how it did blur any little imperfections around my nose area and my T zone in general.  It perfectly moisturized my skin, but didn't make my more oily areas look or feel more oily.

The benefits were seen all throughout the day.  My makeup remained fresh, my t zone was significantly less oily and required much less blotting (when I used this primer under a foundation and setting powder combo, or a cream-to-powder foundation, I had almost zero oily breakthrough for most of the day.)

Kiehl's Since 1851 Micro-Blur Skin Perfector was also gentle on my skin and I experienced no breakouts, clogged pores or irritation.  While it doesn't have any SPF, it was very easy to get at least 30+ with either a BB Cream or foundation over it, so I never had to spend more than a few minutes getting my skin/makeup together in the morning.

If you have fairly good skin and like a natural look (with some enhancements), this can also be used after cleansing, and a lightweight SPF moisturizer.  You will have a natural look, but with a much smoother, more polished appearance with fine lines softened and pores/discoloration much less noticeable..

There are a few other blurring creams which have impressed me, but this is definitely 1 of my favorites.  - RLB
