Drugstore Buy of the Week - Dial Acne Control Line

For many of us, summertime equals acne breakouts (your body produces more oil in the summer time and you sweat more, so when you combine oil and sweat, that = acne), Dial has just launched a great (affordable!) solution to help your keep skin clear.

The new Dial Acne Control line was developed by dermatologists and uses an oil free, salicylic acid formula to help fight acne on both face. The 3 piece collection consists of a Face Wash, Body Wash and Body and Face Bar for those who want to do double duty in the shower in the AM or after a gym workout.

The face wash is very gentle and provided a great cleanse while not stripping my skin completely.  The salicylic acid works to unclog pores by slowing down bacteria growth. the gel is smooth, lightweight and fairly concentrated.  It lathered nicely and rinsed very cleanly.  After drying off, my skin felt fresh and had a matte, but not dry appearance. I noticed that in my T-Zone, when I can get several warm weather breakouts, after using the cleansing 2x day for just two weeks my current pimples diminished, and I didn't get new ones in those areas.

If you also get acne on your upper chest/back in the summer time, the body wash is a great companion product.  The gel is also smooth and silky and lathers nicely.  The scent is a very light fresh citrus that is non-drying or irritating.  I would recommend using this product as an all-around body wash, and then doing a second cleanse just in your trouble areas, like back or upper chest, for example.

If you (or the man/kids in your life) are very active outdoors during the summer and have this reoccurring summer acne problem, this are great products to add into a daily grooming routine. - RLB
