|From L to R: Alabaster, Peaches and Cream, Almond, Mocha|
Last week I shared with you the latest nude lipstick line I love (Click here to read it if you haven't seen it!).
Today I want to introduce you to a lovely nude nail polish line, Crabtree & Evelyn Nud-est Nail Lacquer Collection. These shades are not only perfect taking a break from bold brights for summer, but will all transitional easily into Fall.
There are four shades in the collection, with Almond (shown, at the top) being the one I loved the most. For me, Almond is the perfect nude for nails where you want the shade to most closely resemble your actual nail bed - enhancing them, yet still looking natural.
All the shades look great on a wide variety of skin tones as well - they either compliment skin or the natural nail bed shade very well.
Almond is an opaque beige with the perfect blend of cream/light brown/pink in the base. There is no shimmer, glitter or metallic finish. With two coats I got the exact shade in the bottle, with full shine. With an application of top coat every few days, I got 5+ days of wear before chipping.
Another beautiful shade in the collection is Peaches and Cream (shown, above). This is a great color for when you want a peachy-pink with a bit more dimension, given its light shimmer
(seen mostly in sunlight). The other two shades are Mocha, a cool mocha brown with platinum shimmer and Alabaster, a classic creamy opaque ivory.
Since these are such a great buy, try mixing/matching them. For example, adding a coat of Peaches and Cream atop Alabaster for a neutral shimmer effect - or just mix and match between fingers and toes for a refreshing, neutral summer look. I liked Almond on my nails and Peaches and Cream or Mocha on my toes. - RLB
