Beauty Find - CLINIQUE Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel

If you get the occasional pimple or breakout there's only one thing you want to do as soon as you discover it.

Make it disappear.

I've discovered a great solution for zapping the occasional "pimple that shows at exactly wrong time".

CLINIQUE Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel is a skincare treatment which contains salicylic acid to start clearing blemishes instantly and help prevent new ones from forming.

When I noticed a pimple right in the middle of my cheek during a particularly hot, humid stretch of a week recently this summer (usually when I get a breakout), I used this Clinique product as a spot treatment and a bit like a mask as well.

My first step was in the morning. The gel is lightweight and very concentrated, so I only added a small squeeze of the gel (less than a small pea-sized amount), on a Q-Tip and applied to the area.  It has a slightly sticky and drying feel initially, but since this was just on the area it was not bothersome.  It absorbed and dried completely after about 5 minutes (For best results you do need to wait before applying serum, moisturizer, makeup, etc.).

In the late afternoon (after washing my face again), I applied a slightly larger amount on the pimple and left it on about 15 min as a treatment mask.  Then I rinsed the CLINIQUE Acne Solutions Clinical Clearing Gel off and applied it again as I had in the morning.

In the evening after cleansing my face before bed I applied it again without rinsing and by the very next morning the pimple was about reduced 90% in size and the surface has completely dried up.

Adding another application in the morning was all I needed for it to completely disappear by the end of the day.  I was very impressed with this little blue tube and highly recommend keeping it in your "emergency skincare stash" for those pesky occasional pimples! - RLB
