- When using for the first time, press the dispensing button several times while checking to see if the liquid is soaking into the tip of the brush. Note, you may need to press around 20 times before the liquid fully soaks into the brush.
- For the second time and on, 1 or 2 presses will supply an appropriate amount of liquid to the brush.
This is one of those products that may not be a MUST have on your beauty shopping list, but it will make your skin look very pretty - and that, (to me) is worth a little indulgence.
I love using highlighting products and am always amazed at how very different they all are. Paul & Joe Beaute Illuminating Touch Pen is in a very convenient click pen format, which makes it ideal for quick touches in the morning, adding while at work and of course for travel.
There are three shades in this collection and I tried Miel (shown, left) which was the warmest of the three, with light orange/gold undertones.
Each shade in the collection however, combines a champagne gold and pink pearl effect. The formula was creamy and spread easily with the pen brush (see below for more on how to use the pen for best results!). The brush was easy to maneuver around my cheekbones, brow bones and the bridge of my nose. The cream set and dried very quickly with no transfer or smudging.
I liked that the effect was a slightly dewy, glowy one - but with very little noticeable shimmer, which was very finely milled. I got good results using over my foundation/bb cream as well as on bare skin on more casual makeup look days like the weekends. This highlighter didn't ball up, become sticky or stiff or change colors on my skin. Although not billed as a longwear product per say, it had all day staying power for me, even in very warm, humid weather.
This is just the little makeup item (with pretty packaging too) to keep in your kit for when you want to illuminate and glow without too much extra work! - RLB
