Drugstore Buy of the Week - Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color

I have to admit, normally I'm not a "matte" finish type of girl - in nail polish, car paint, jewelry - or lipsticks.
But after trying Maybelline Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color, I've been converted (and at least for lipstick).

The key difference in this formula for me is the "creamy" aspect.
Normally, matte lipsticks - even if they say they are non-drying and won't pull or drag - still are for me.  They're uncomfortable and the matte finish often looks TOO dry on me.
But Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lip Color has changed the game and just upped the stakes for other brands out there with matte lipsticks.
This formula is amazing - bar none for a matte (and especially for a drugstore line).  They are soft, cushiony-smooth with beautiful pigment.

But the gifts don't stop giving there: Color Sensational Creamy Matte Lipstick is also moisturizing and long wearing.  With a finish that is perfectly soft, diffused and matte, I was extremely impressed.

On an average day, after applying in the AM, I normally didn't have to touch up until well after 2pm, and even then, I still had a light stain left of the original color on my lips.
Note: Although I found this lipstick moisturizing for hours during the day, if you suffer from very dry lips and/or will be wearing this outdoors in very cold/dry weather, I recommend a thin layer of matte lip balm, like this one first, before applying.
Touch of Spice, (pictured at the top), a brown color with a bit of red, was my everyday go-to-color.  I also loved Siren in Scarlet (pictured, top left) for a bright, true red statement lip. Divine Wine (pictured, bottom left) is a beautiful deep plum shade for Fall and Winter looks.
