Natural Beauty Find - Burt's Bees Lip Crayon

I've been featuring lip crayons for years from various brands, I hadn't found one recently that offered something truly new or unique to the category.

But then I recently had the opportunity to test the Burt's Bees Lip Crayon I was pleasantly surprised that there's now a natural alternative for those of you who love the convenience and ease of using a lip crayon.

The formula and colors in the Burt's Bees Lip Crayon line are so comfortable and flattering.  One of my favorite shades, Redwood Forest (shown, above), is a nice 90's inspired brick red shade perfect for Fall.  The finish is semi-matte with slight gloss and it's a pretty sheer terracotta red with just a touch of pink. It's one of those colors that really will look great on most skin tones.

The pigment delivers fantastic, saturated color payoff, the formula is creamy, velvety-smooth and very hydrating. I loved that while I got all this creamy moisture, it still felt lightweight and non sticky on my lips.

While not a stain, I got about 3+ hours of wear even after drinking/eating, and I still have a base layer of color that remained on my lips.  It also continued to keep my lips nice and soft throughout the day.  I would normally touch up about 2 more times during the day to return to the full color. This pencil is in a roll up twist format .

There's no added flavor or fragrance, and the shape of the tip allowed me to also use this crayon as lip pencil and lip color as well.  Bonus:  Because of the creamy, hydrating formula, these also work well as cheek color when you're pressed for time in the AM.

If you're looking for lighter shades, there are 5 other colors, all in the pink/fuschia and peach range (no nude/brown shades at this time).  Stock up on these, whether you usually buy only natural beauty products or not! - RLB
