From the packaging and cute name to the yummy flavor and scent CoverGirl Colorlicious Oh Sugar! Vitamin Infused Lip Balm, needs to be on your beauty shopping list. As a matter of fact, the Caramel shade (shown, above), I'm reviewing, has become so beloved, that even the newest CoverGirl Zendaya used ii as part of her 2016 Grammy Awards beauty look.
I fell in love with CoverGirl Oh Sugar! Vitamin Infused Lip Balm, Caramel after attending a recent P + G Beauty Digital event, where we previewed lots of new beauty goodies coming this spring.
These new lip balms are packed with vitamins and loads of moisture. They are made with grape see oil and avocado. They offer hydration without a greasy, sticky or waxy feel. I loved how smooth and cushiony the balm felt on my lips. They are meant for a light wash of color, so there is a light-to-medium amount of pigment in them.
The finish is a natural shine with light color. They are not long lasting, so I did have to reapply after eating, but they can also be layered with a complimentary lipstick or lip stain for a longer effect. When I reapplied, I did get an extra dose of moisture each time and it made my lips also feel very soothed on super cold, dry days.
The Caramel shade is one of those "your lips but better" universal shades that the CoverGirl makeup artists used on 3 women with completely different skin tones (very dark, fair with red hair and medium toned blonde) at the P+ G Digital beauty event and it looked great (and completely different) on them. Caramel is a brown based shade with a touch of orange/apricot which gives it a warmth that makes it work so well for a natural lip shade.
CoverGirl Colorlicious OhSugar! Lip Balm has a great shade selection with plenty of pinks, berries, reds, plums and peaches that offer something for everyone. - RLB
