Drugstore Buy of the Week - Neutrogena SkinClearning Complexion Perfector

Neutrogena SkinClearning Complexion Perfector is for a very specific skin type and to achieve a very natural look, but I think it's quite brilliant.

This is for those of you who have oily/combo acne prone skin, but don't need a very heavy coverage.  It's closest to a non-oily tinted moisturizer in terms of it's texture and how it works, but the added acne clearing ingredients make this a great product.

The texture of the perfector is silky and lightweight, and I found it very easy to blend in using fingers, brush or beauty blender.  The coverage is sheer and matte.  I usually added some concealer as well.  I liked how it didn't make my drier areas overly dry, but really did keep the oily parts matte.  My skin looked natural but enhanced and the finish was matte throughout the day.  I used their darkest shade, deep 50, which was a good match.  There are currently 5 shades in all.  Note: If you need much more coverage, this can also be used as a acne-fighting primer. Then apply your favorite foundation/BB Cream over it.

Neutrogena SkinClearning Complexion Perfector is also a very good "starter" makeup product for teens who often are prone to acne, and will allow their skin to break and look natural.  The tube is travel friendly and easy to toss into a gym or work bag as well.

Light, smooth and offers protection against breakouts - it's a combination that will be perfect for many of you. - RLB
