Drugstore Buy of the Week - Nuance Salma Hayek Oil-Free Sheer Liquid Veil SPF 50

Salma Hyaek's Nuance line is continuing to launch beauty products that really work - and don't break the bank.

My latest pick is the Nuance Salma Hayek Liquid Veil SPF 50 1.7.  It's a moisturizer, primer and sunscreen in one.  It contains Salma's "magic" ingredient, Tepezchuite a plant from her native Mexico which helps to firm and smooth the skin, and many of her skincare products are made with it.

The Liquid Veil has a very thin, watery texture out of the tube, but once I massaged it into my skin it felt like silk, blended easily and absorbed instantly into my skin with no white or grey cast. The finish was semi-matte, not overly shiny, which made it work well with my makeup.  It's very concentrated so I only had to use about a pea-sized amount for my entire face - a little goes a long way, so less is more with this product. Note: If you have oily skin use this much more sparingly for best results.

My makeup layered well over it and stayed in place nicely throughout the day.  As with all of Nuance Salma Hayek products, Nuance Salma Hayek Liquid Veil one also had an amazing, and totally unique scent.  It's an exotic floral that still fresh and didn't linger very long.

If you need your sunscreen to really multi-task, Nuance Salma Hayek Liquid Veil SPF 50 1.7 is a great one at a great price. - RLB
