“Every now and then a cosmetic product comes across my desk that doesn’t seem like it would rock my world; but ends up doing just that. Mugler’s vinyl gloss is the latest product to do this for me.
I absolutely fell in love with this “brush-less & comb-less” mascara. The packaging is of course right up Mugler’s alley – modern, slightly odd and yet still sophisticated. The mascara tube itself is a unique concept that includes a long, narrow “paint brush” (more like the type of brush you would find in a lip gloss tube) which I applied over my lashes. The shiny mirror on the top echoes his “Mirror Collection” theme.
I found the liquid formula itself was a thicker version of the usual mascara formula, but was surprisingly easy to work with. When brushing over my lashes with the applicator I was amazed that I was able to get all of my lashes – from the really short tiny ones in the corners to the longer ones in the center. The gloss made my lashes deep, shiny black, very full, lush and long. It was a very glam look, but I found it could still work for daytime. During the day there was no flaking, running or smudging at all. This is also amazing for a dramatic sexy, night time look, with a dark smokey eye or with a sweep of black liquid eyeliner on the top lid. It’s a luxury purchase, but for something this unique, beautiful and amazing it is truly worth it.” L.V.

“If you’re a packaging junkie you will love it, if you love thick, luscious lashes you will love it, if you don’t mind a little beauty splurge then you will be in heaven!
I was very happy with the new Le 2 mascara. It is a long gold tube with a brush on each end. One end is a small brush for small lashes on the inner corners and bottom lashes, and the other larger brush at the other end is for the upper lashes. The larger brush did a beautiful job lengthening and defining my lashes with just a single stroke.
I looked forward to using this mascara everyday; not only holding it but looking at the beautiful architecturally inspired gold design too! What was new for me was actually applying mascara on my bottom lashes – I just never did it that much before. However, after trying the tiny brush (which is tilted by 7° to coat the bottom lashes quickly and cleanly) and seeing the effect, I was hooked! The mascara formula did not smudge or flake and lasted all day and night. Yes, this really did give me the holy trinity - volume, length and definition, plus some curling power for those of you with very straight lashes like mine. The formula is also very moist and conditioning. Le 2 is luxury mascara that is worth every penny!” A.W.

“Comb mascaras seem to really work well for me, and this Armani mascara was no exception. Now that I’ve tried this I can never go back. The unique 4 sided comb individually coated every single one of my lashes. It made them super long and defined. I usually look for length in my mascara, but this also thickened in addition to lengthening. The overall effects of this mascara are among the best that I have ever seen.
I loved that I didn’t need lots of coats to build up the effect; my lashes looked magnificent after just one coat. Even better, my lashes also felt light and soft. The staying power was great and it did not flake or smudge at all! The tube design is as sleek and beautiful as one would expect from an Armani product as well.” L.H.

MAC Plush Lash in Plush Black

“Plush Lash is really a gem of a mascara. I tried it on and I was amazed. It is a silky smooth formula that provided all the volume I love. Plush Black is a very black color which I loved for a dramatic look.
What’s unique about it is the actual brush is very short and round, which really allowed me to grab on to each and every lash (even the inner corners). Because my lashes are fine and sparse, I am always happy to find a great mascara that really gives volume, and this did. This really made my lashes look enormous!
For night time, I loved to add to the impact by using a eyelash curler and found that this formula worked beautifully with it and held the curl for hours. The mascara made my lashes look so full and glamorous. In addition, the mascara didn’t smudge and washed off easily with just water at the end of the night.
This mascara is beautiful at a great price and perfect for those of you looking for a dramatic look.” L.H.

“This mascara may be a “sleeper” to some of you who don’t know much about the Perdis brand, but believe me it definitely deserves any beauty lovers attention!
It really made my lashes dark and long and pretty! It volumized my lashes and didn't weigh them down (That's one thing I judge on mascaras). The brush is rather unique with a small indent in the middle of it which really allowed me to pull the brush up easily from the base of my lashes and get the perfect amount of product on them. In addition, there was no flaking, which is another really important factor for me. It lengthened my lashes without clumping (even 3 coats!). All in all, it is a very good mascara that will not be far from my makeup kit.” A.F.

“This is a legendary mascara formula, and I have to agree with the many women for whom this is a “must have” mascara product.
This mascara makes my eyes look really pretty. I'm Asian, with lashes that are short, and they are rather straight and fine. I really like for my lashes to pop, so what I look for in a formula is obviously more length and some curl/volume (although I do use a lash curler first in any event).
This mascara is nicely pigmented and really makes my lashes longer. Like twice as long! I really saw a difference with this mascara. The pigment is fantastic as well and I didn’t experience any flaking and very minimal clumping. Note that this formula is designed to give you primarily length (although I found the volume effect very nice too!), and in that respect, it delivers length!
Something about this mascara just made my lashes look "better." It's the color and the fact that it helps keep the curl on them better than the other mascaras I've tried in the past.
It makes my lashes long and super sexy and I got lots of compliments on my eyelashes when I wore this. This formula came off very easily with makeup wipes or soap and water. As far as application tips, I found that my best results were to wait just a few second in between coats and let it dry -- then I could see it building on itself.
The best part is that it stays put even when used on the lower lashes. I never had to worry about having raccoon eyes at the end of the day.
I really like the brush too; With one swipe it's like oooh...length...ahhhh...volume! I also love the slender, square packaging as well, very chic.” L.M.

“Not only was this my first time trying a CHANEL mascara, but it was also the very first time I stepped out of my “comfort zone” to try a colored formula. This was amazing!
It made my lashes look long, luscious and thick. I really did do a double take in the mirror the first morning I used it. It didn’t clump and held a curl better than almost mascaras I’ve tried. There was no smudging or flaking and it IS truly waterproof – I went swimming and into a sauna with it, and it stayed put, and looked incredible.
The color of the mascara is a beautiful jade green color, which looks a little deeper on the brush than it did on my lashes – and I liked that it gave a definite hint of green to my lashes, but was still subtle. This is a great color that will work on all skin tones and for those of you who want to change up your eye look. For me, it really did bring out the dimension of my brown eyes as well, which was another plus! This is a beautiful luxury mascara with a color twist that is worth the price.” A.A.

“A few years ago I was visiting a dear friend in Brussels and he took me to the Quartier Chocolate – an area in the city where some of the finest Chocolatier’s shops in the country are located. We arrived at one of the most famous – Pierre Marcolini (so famous in fact he was commissioned for a special chocolate project for Louis Vuitton a few years ago!).
He took me straight to the chocolate section featuring caramel, which is a favorite of mine. A few minutes later the shop assistant handed us their glamorous black box tied with a ribbon and off we went with our small selection of chocolates. Later we sat down at a café, ordered an aperitif and decided to try them. I took one bite of the chocolate with the lovely caramel center and said out loud – “Oh My God – I’ve never had caramel before now!” This caramel (and chocolate for that matter) was so superior to anything I had experienced in both the US (and even other European countries for that matter), it was like I had been eating cardboard before and I was actually having caramel for the first time in my life.
This is the experience I had with CHANEL Inimitable Waterproof Mascara Multi-Dimensionelle. It was like I had never really used great mascara before this.
From the first swipe of this mascara I saw something instantly – it delivered EVERYTHING that I want in my mascara: length, definition, volume, and curl. I was shocked especially about the curling factor-- most mascaras don’t actually do this for me with any noticeable difference, but my eyelashes never looked better with Chanel all day long. What I also loved is that this mascara could look natural with one or two swipes OR look really dramatic when I applied a 3rd swipe of the wand (great bush design by the way!).
It defines lashes beautifully, builds lots of length and volume and stays put. I also used this mascara as a waterproof eyeliner by running an eyeliner brush over the mascara wand and that worked nicely as well. It was very easy to remove with my regular cleanser, and really does stand up to the humid weather and actual water (I went swimming and was caught in a rainstorm once while testing this mascara). Yes, this is worth every penny. It's an amazing mascara.” RLB

“I have been on a mascara “tear” lately trying a number of different formulations. I have to say, this was a very pleasant surprise that has proven to now be one of my favorites! I tried it in both the black and the black brown color (which is the color I prefer during the week). What I like about this mascara the most is that I can wear a little and have feathery lashes or I can build it and it doesn't get all clumpy or look overly done. I also felt that the shorter wand gave me a lot more control. The lacquer end did a great job of keeping the mascara on my lashes instead of under my eyes and it seemed to give them a lot more definition. Quite frankly, I am now absolutely in love with the top coat (also smells great –how unusual is that?)! I have short, sparse Asian lashes, and the top coat really made my eyes pop. Another plus is that this mascara came off very easily at the end of the day without any pulling or tugging. It seems I have finally found a mascara that is a deep black, holds a curl, and makes my lashes look SUPER long.” K.T.

Prescriptives Here to Stay 24 Hour Mascara in Black

“This is the next generation of mascara! I didn’t really know what to expect from a “24 hour” formula – would it be dry and not give me the length I love?, or would it end up flaking at the end of the day, but would also remain on my lashes with a hard stiff feel?
Well, I’m thoroughly happy to say that this really is a breakthrough formula. The brush is actually more of a very modern comb/brush hybrid. The formula gave me very nice length and fullness with just two coats each morning, and it did dried quickly and left my lashes soft. By the end of the day there was no flaking, no smudging and my lashes really did look as good as they did in the morning. So the true test was to also sleep in the formula, and in the morning, I found that it still had not smudged on my sheets or face; my lashes were still full and long. (Note: I did wash my face at night and the mascara stayed on until I actually removed it with makeup remover). I love the futuristic silver packaging and the size which makes it easy to toss in any bag or travel with!” T.N.

False Eyelashes Plush Mascara

“I have lashes that don’t need a LOT of help, but certainly with the right mascara, my eyes look much prettier! That’s why I love this mascara. It was actually my first foray into Prescriptives eye line, as I had only used the foundations and concealers before.
Now I know that it is fabulous. I found for a very nice day time look, one coat was all I needed. But I could also layer it for a more dramatic look. In either case, no matter how many layers or how quickly I used it, it never clumped, flaked or smudged.
I also found that because of the way the brush was designed, I could apply this mascara so quickly! In the morning I don't want to wipe the wand or comb my lashes when I'm trying to get out the door as quickly as possible!
The formula lengthened and thickened well. It held curl nicely and stayed put very well. This is a product that does to my lashes exactly what mascaras should do. Smooth application,+ No caking or clumping whatsoever, +thickens my lashes, +lengthens my lashes, +keeps my lashes soft and flexible to the touch instead of hard and wire-like, lasts for a long time before the product in the tube starts to dry out!

What we loved: For those of you who LOVE having big, luscious VAVAVOOM lashes (day and night) this is the product combo for you! Lash Lingerie is the new product line from Dianne Brill's Lip Lingerie line. The Bra and Panties is a creamy, fiber rich base which thickens up the lashes immediately (slight white coating will appear until the mascara is put on). Loaded with mini fibers, the base attaches itself to existing hairs and creates a foundation to build on. Step 2 is the Lash Lace Mascara, which is a thickly textured mascara formula which also coats the lashes with individual fibers and lash plumpers connect to lengthen, thicken and swing out your lashes.

"I absoutely cannot leave the house without doing my lashes - even if I don't have time for anything else...and I do like a bit of a dramatic eye, so this was absolute heaven for me! The Bra and Panties is the base which thickens up the lashes and addes immediate length. Then I applied the Lash Lace Mascara in Black lace and - WOW!, the lashes were SO thick and luxurious I could not stop looking at them in the mirror! I didn't experience any clumping either. The products had great staying power throughout the day and therefore needed a real makeup remover in the evening to take it all off, but I'm not complaining! The product design is also very cute - the aqua colored products with lace detail look so nice on my vanity - I'm sold on this new line now! - G.T.

"First off, it has the cutest packaging I've ever seen. A black cardboard box with a pretty pink bow on it. The tube of mascara is HUGE at 0.3 oz, which is a lot for mascara. This mascara really accentuates my eyes. I also adore the BIG brush (about triple the size of the average brush). What I did was to curl my eyelashes first with a heated eyelash curler*- and WOW, it really gave me the "false eyelash" look (not it a bad way though!)- I was ALWAYS getting compliments from my husband! The formula is great. I got great length AND volume. However, because the brush is very big, you have to take a little more time to get the small corner lashes. It didn't flake off at all and lasted all day." - Y.T.
