Tester: Middle Eastern (Lebanese) about Kim Kardashian’s complexion with lightly pigmented lips.
“Tarte just keeps coming up with the great ideas! A lip gloss PLUS tooth whitener in a super snazzy and well thought out double ended pen. The gloss is a very flattering clear cherry red which really perked up my complexion. This is a nice color that will work with all skin tones as well. It’s a smooth and very moisturizing formula which glides on easily with just a few clicks.
The teeth whitener (provided by Brite Smile products) is minty fresh. I simply swiped the brush across my teeth and I really did see a nice improvement in the whiteness of my teeth (I applied about 2 times a day as directed). The mint flavor also provided breath freshening which is another bonus!
The pen technology itself is really a marvel – its super lightweight, and slim enough to fit in any bag or jeans. The pen works with a central sliding mechanism in the middle of the pen. You push it to the left to activate the teeth whitener and twist the middle of the pen to deliver the product to the brush, and then push the central piece to the right for the lip gloss, where it works the same. (One end is marked with tarte / lip gloss and the other with Bright Smile /teeth whitener) so you can easily tell which end is which. I love this! This will be in my daily makeup bag for sure!”

Tester: Multi-Ethnic (Pakistani/French Canadian) about Paula Abdul's complexion with med pigmented lip that are dry.
“Well this was a pleasant surprise! So much so that I have finished the entire tube!
The scent/flavor was perfect; just a little fruity. It's not sticky, it's very smooth, and it has just the right amount of shimmer and shine.
OM is a slightly iridescent light pink gloss with a cool/pink sparkle and shine. (Sparkle, NOT glitter! This is a very important difference). This was fabulous on my bare lips, as well as over a nice neutral brownish/pink lipstick that I loved pairing it with - it's everything I want in a pink gloss. The fact that it is also loaded with vitamins just made it that much more of a treat for me! This color will work best up to about a Whitney Houston complexion.
The packaging is on the large side, but that just makes it an even better value. I can't wait to try the other colors!” – S.V.

Tester: Hispanic (Cuban) about Christina Milian’s complexion with medium pigmented lips that are very dry.
“Good for me AND a pretty, long lasting gloss? I’m sold! Apple-A-Day is a medium reddish/pink with pink sparkle & shine. The smell alone will keep me buying these... and using them up. This is now one of my main “go to” glosses each and every week. The texture is lightweight and sheer. "Apple-a-Day" has a pomegranate flavor. I was very impressed with how long-lasting it is, (even after a meal!) but isn't overwhelmingly sticky. I really noticed a difference in my lips and how soft and hydrated they were all day!
If you are looking for a natural gloss that gives just a tiny hint of color with some shine then this might be the one for you. This color will work very well up to about a Kelly Roland (Destiny’s Child) complexion.” L.M.

Tester: African (Senegalese) with normal to dry lips.
"My first reaction when using this was "Wow, this actually works!" The exfoliating side performed beautifully, without making my lips sensitive. The lip balm is solid and smooth and doesn't feel waxy or slimy. It got all of my flakes off (my lips have been really chapped lately). It did leave behind a little bit of product, but I just licked it off because it tastes like sugar. I applied lipstick right after using this, and it went on so smoothly! I now use this every day before using lipsticks if I have any flakes. I LOVE the packaging, the tube is adorable. I love purple so it had me at "hello". :) The perfect little mirror that swings out is so 007.
I also like how it's a true lip balm, not sticky or glossy but doesn't have a waxy smell. While many of you know it's easy to exfoliate the lips at home with a face cloth or scrub, I've always found it frustrating when my lips chap or get flaky when I'm out somewhere. That's why I love this product - you can easily and discreetly both exfoliate your lips and moisturize with this single wand. And the flip-top mirror is just too cute and convenient. I also find the product to give me a rosy, natural lip color from the exfoliating side." N.G.

Don't you think your friend would love it if you told her about Tarte FRXtion 0.12 oz? "Lip glosses named after famous movie couples- in this case, Ferris and Sloane from Ferris Bueller's Day Off! How creative and cute! I actually LOVE this movie and as a coincidence caught it on cable while I was testing this...(BTW what ever happened to the girl who played Sloane???). These colors are so fresh, sparkly (but OK for day with a light touch) and creamy smooth I ended up applying them either over a neutral color or on its own every single day - after my test period! The flavor is a delicious yet subtle vanilla like their other glosses and each color has a very special feature, Ferris is a very sparkly lilac color and Sloane is a sparkly pink with some melon undertones. The sparkles are fairly small and multi-colored - which gives a very cool holographic effect. There is a fair amount of pigment in each of these, so they can be applied heavier if they are used on their own (yes they are marvelous together!), or lighter if you are putting them over a med brown, brownish/pink or med. rose pink lip color. These will work with any skin tone too which is great! And of course, as you buy other Tarte lip glosses these snap apart so that you can mix and match them which is great for travel or the office!" “I am a sucker for lip balm in tins, so naturally I needed to try this one! "Mouth Off" is a slightly scary dark purple in the tin, but is a pretty raspberry/fuchsia stain on my lips. It smells like vanilla mint, and the slide tin is fun. This is a great change of pace for a lip balm purchase.” - P.W.

"It's a very sheer color which is also moisturizing. The color is perfect for me, it's a warm peach with a teeny hint of red. It is absolutely a warm color and some people could find it too "orangey". Overall, it's a nice useful everyday product. This is my perfect neutral lip color. When I put on my lips, it's the perfect cross between pink, peach, and sheer red. I can wear it with anything." - L.P.

"This is a great color to give your lips that "just bitten" look. no gloss or frost - just natural beautiful color. This comes out a nice sheer brownish red. I was looking for a good long lasting lip stain that doesn't dry out my lips and this one does the trick. A very nice product that I will always keep in the makeup bag." - R.T.

"This has to be one of the most moisturizing, silky smooth glosses I've ever tried and they stay on for HOURS! I kept rubbing my lips together because they felt just absolutely fabulous. The darker, soft wine color is the sheer side and the brownish pink one is shimmery side, so you can really mix and match with anything you have. I want more of these FAST!" - J.Z.
