“This nail pen is another beautiful example of “form meets function”.  With this nail polish pen, it gives any woman (like me) the ability to do a “mistake-proof” manicure while also having a luxurious golden pen to boot! All that I needed to do was to shake the pen, click the top until the color began to form on the brush and then apply to my nails. I also could not get over how quickly it dried! The staying power was also good, I would say with a top coat it lasted 5 days and without 3-4 days (but this is with me being pretty hard on my nails). What I loved about it is that it's portable, and more importantly, distributed the nail polish evenly and easily.  There is also a cap to protect the brush when you are done. 

The shade is a flattering neutral; a soft, pretty light petal pink which everyone can wear.  I now want it in some of the other colors like Beige Touch to add to my collection.  This is a new favorite gem of mine that is worth every penny!” T.Y.

e.l.f. cucumber melon hand cream

Tester: African-American with normal/dry skin on hands.

“This hand product is a little more than their usual $1 price, but I was still surprised how much I got out of this 4 dollar hand cream!  I definitely picked up more of the cucumber fragrance than the melon (although as it dried I did smell more melon –honeydew to be exact).  The fragrance was authentic to me and did not smell artificial or too sweet. 

As a matter of fact, it was authentic enough that upon opening it I had an immediate flash back to my heavenly NYC Korean Spa body scrubs which always end with a fresh cucumber face mask!  The texture is medium/thick and very concentrated; again surprising given the great price.  Most importantly the moisturization was very good. (I did need to reapply after hand washings however).  It felt light on my skin and soaked in quickly with no sticky or filmy feeling.  This is a very nice treat for the hands at an amazing price!”

E.L.F. Nail Polish Berry Pink

Tester: Multi-Ethnic (Venezuelan/Irish) about Shakira’s complexion.

“So much for just $1!  This is a thin formula that glided on smoothly, quickly and easily. It dried very quickly with almost no streaking as well. This polish covered my nails fairly well in the first coat, and the brush was just the right size/design. I also found that it lasted four to five days on me without chipping and stayed shiny, which for me that is quite remarkable - normally, most polishes chip on the very first day (I'm pretty hard on my nails).  For packaging buffs these are absolutely adorable…with a splash of “faux” polish spilling out from underneath the cap!  All for $1!  Brilliant!

The color is a cheery, fun, deep bubble gum shade of pink that is slightly metallic with some light shimmer – perfect for summer (and very accurately represented on the site). 2 coats really brought out the full potential of the color, but one coat was also a nice wash of pink as well.  It also looked great on my toes. This will work best up to a Whitney Houston shade.” S.D.

“This a great glitter polish that actually looked like it does in the bottle on my nails! Every time I wore this, someone asks, "What color is that!" It’s clear polish packed with a ton of pale pink micro glitter.  I love the glitzy pink of this nail polish! It is definitely a party look. To get the full effect, you really need more than one coat. When I applied two coats it made my nails look like sparkling jewels. Note: I found that a good topcoat kept it chip free for weeks on my toes, and about a week or so on my fingers.

It’s absolutely with the price for such a pretty, unique color, and a very large bottle (mine lasted forever using it regularly). This also looked amazing on my toes. This will work on all skin tones and one coat also makes a nice twist on the French manicure nail too!” T.A.

Editor’s Note: Make sure you apply a basecoat on first. It makes it much easier to remove it.
