Drugstore Buy of the Week - Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Lightweight Foaming Lotion

Vichy's latest Vichy Capital Soleil SPF 50 Lightweight Foaming Lotion is a mousse-sunscreen which is a pleasure to use from start to finish. Just as it's name suggests, this lotion is la foaming lotion.

However, it's very thick and rich.  So only the smallest press of the nozzle on top of the can is needed to produce what initially starts out as a "golf ball" size amount of mousse in the hand - and expands quickly to about twice that size even before it's applied. The lotion is very smooth, silky and lightweight. It does provide some moisture as well as a light sheen to the skin, without it feeling sticky or greasy.

I loved how soft and smooth it made my skin feel, in particular. There was very little "white cast" on my skin, (but there was a light trace of it when not blended in extremely well).

Because of it's mousse texture, it's also a lot of fun for the kids to apply, and my little sporty spice actually ended up using the amount that she should, because she had so much fun with it. It absorbed into my skin instantly and has a lovely, light floral smell, with only a hint of the usual "sunscreen" smell.

This formula is also water resistant, but please remember if you are spending a significant amount of time in the pool/ocean, etc. you will need to reapply after drying off. - RLB
