Years ago when I first started reading the magazine, there was an article about the now legendary Linda Evangelista and all the other original supermodels at the time (Naomi, Cindy, et all) using a special skin cleanser - and never leaving home without it.
It was a cleanser that removed all makeup, moisturized, kept skin soft and supple and helped sooth dry/sensitive and travel-weary skin. It (used to) come in a baby soft pink bottle/label and I loved it so much!
That miracle product was Ole Henriksen's Apricot Cleansing Lotion.
Of course, now writing and reviewing beauty products, I try a lot of cleansers, and love a lot of them too! But I was recently reminded about this cleanser at an Ole Henriksen event over the summer and decided to become reacquainted with it.
It was just as lovely as I had remembered.
The texture and feel of this cleanser is so soft, silky and creamy - without it feeling heavy or too oily. I got great results using it both with or without my Clarisonic. It was hydrating and easily removed all my makeup (waterproof and longwear). Once I was done cleansing, my skin had the perfect balance of hydration, softness and great tone.
I loved using this on days when my skin felt dry, or after a long airplane trip. This is also ideal for those of you with sensitive skin. It soothes skin, especially if you have a bout of dermatitis or mild eczema. Because of the gentle hydration, this is also perfect for those of you with more mature skin as well. What's amazing about this formula is that as hydrating and creamy as it is, it never clogged my pores, or make me break out.
The cleansing I get from this product is so good, that quite frankly, if I don't have time, I can completely skip a toner, and in the colder, drier months I just leave it on for a few minutes before rinsing to give myself a touch more moisture before adding any additional lotions or creams.
There's a reason this product was a must have for the original supermodels - now treat your skin and feel the difference. - RLB
